GLOSSES BY KYLIE JENNER COSMETICS

So everywhere I look, if it's Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat or Twitter, I see the Kylie Cosmetics Lip Kits by Kylie Jenner. Now, I am not a massive fan of Kylie Jenner, but her lip kits have been doing exceedingly well, selling out within a matter of minuets when they are released.

Today I saw that Kylie has created a video in aid of her new lip glosses. The first time I watched the video, I was a little confused as to what she was trying to say, but now I sort of get it. Her rebellious side has shone through, creating a big build up to a new product in a music video way. A few words come up near the end of the video such as 'so cute' and 'literally' which I thought was a bit much but maybe these are the names of her new shades of gloss? Her clothing was very revealing, but I guess her persona is channeled through her character in the video.

I know that these glosses will sell out in seconds as soon as they are released, but I am wondering if at some point this craze of having something made by Kylie Jenner will die down.

If you have't watched the video, here it is:

Photography x PRIYA GOGNA

So a few weeks ago I decided to do another shoot in favour of Tanya Armarni Patel - a first year student at NTU studying Knitwear. Model Priya Gogna is studying the same degree as myself. It was so lovely to work with a designer, her designs for the shoot looked so amazing on Priya,

Check out Priya's blog - https://priyagognablog.wordpress.com/2016/03/24/knitwear-photo-shoot/

The whole shoot is on my website- http://saskialouisa.wix.com/photography#!priya---priya-gogna-/c1c7u

Photography x Vogue Wonders

So recently I decided that I would get back into my photography. I used to absolutely love taking photos, from landscapes of cities to fashion photography. During my A-levels I really found what my type of photography was, and that was portraiture.

Arooj (Vogue Wonders) posted on our group chat of our course saying that she needed a photographer, and I jumped at the opportunity to pick up my camera again and start again what I love to do.

If you haven't heard of Arooj, please look at her blog where you will find her latest post containing my photography. I would also love if you could all take a look at my own website, where you can view this photoshoot.

Fragrance Project

So I've started back at Uni for my second term, been super busy! We have a new project which I am quite excited about. The project is to do with fragrances. In teams, we have to create a new fragrance (either perfume, home fragrances or, well, anything scented really) and produce all the marketing and branding for the project. At the moment we are in the first stage, which is researching into the different fragrances which are out in the market.

In 2015, the annual global perfume industry sales revenue was a huge $28.95 billion. Perfume is something that everyone I know owns, from either body shop to Dior, perfume has become part of a daily routine. It is said that perfume reminds you of certain memories in the past, scent is all about emotion - how someone wants to feel when they put the perfume on. It's not just a liquid that smells nice in an attractive bottle, its a way to express who you are.

I watched a documentary about fragrance, taking me through the steps of how big companies like Guerlain produce their perfumes. I would recommend to anyone who is interested in the fragrance market to watch the BBC documentary.

'Perfume is always an art about time'

I'll be keeping up-to date with this project on my blog, taking you through what we find/do!

Stack Magazine

Stack Magazines is an independent magazine distributor. The founder, Steven Watson says that 'I started Stack because I think people want something better to read'. Stack Magazine does not send you a dolled up fashion magazine, they send real independent magazines which have articles on topics you have probably not even heard of. When I got my first magazine through (it's a total surprise), it was quite a shock to read something out of fashion. I recommend anyone who is into magazines but wants to find something different to read, check out Stack, it's worth every penny.

NYC Day 5 - Garment Tour

Today was our last full day in NYC! So sad to be leaving tomorrow. We finally had the garment district tour which I've been waiting for all week!

Woke up really early, and made our way to the Garment District. We went into Mood Fabrics (a luxury fabric store) and spoke to a designer, and some bloggers (Wanderlust Girls) who were so lovely and full of fab advice.

We then walked along Fashion Avenue and came across Around The World Publications. This was my dream shop. Although I didn't buy anything, being surrounded by so many magazines from around the world was amazing.

We then went to see a jewellery designer (Larruicci - I will create another blogpost when I'm back to the UK), the designer was so bubbly and passionate about her brand, was so nice to speak to her.

After, we headed to FIT Museum to look at the Fairy Tale Fashion exhibition, which was truly beautiful and nostalgic.

My feet hurt so badly after, but this was such a good tour, met some lovely people in the industry, and found new amazing places! After the tour I decided to get some shopping out the way (oops) and had one amazing burger and fries.

Can't believe this trip is over already! Tomorrow will be a short day but I will post a few pictures on Instagram. Cannot wait to eventually come back to this amazing city!

NYC Day 4 -Brooklyn, Williamsburg & Chelsea Market

So today was very very busy. Woke up super early and headed to Brooklyn Bridge. The walk over the bridge was incredibly cold but the views were stunning from the bridge. As we got into Brooklyn we went into a pizza place, which was yummy. After we decided to just walk around aimlessly, looking at the picturesque buildings of Brooklyn.

We then headed to Williamsburg, which is such an up-coming, cool area. As we got off the train we wondered around a little and found this adorable bakery and had the best red velvet cookie and vanilla chai latte in the world. After, we walked around this place, sprawled with boutique's and restaurants. I absolutely loved it. It was so different from 'the norm' of New York.

Last of all for the day, we went to Chelsea Market. It's so beautiful in there, full of tasty treats and meals, and also a market full of independent artists. I really enjoyed this place!

Tomorrow is our last full day and I'm so gutted to be leaving on Saturday, but will have to make the most of tomorrow!
